Sr Network Engineer. Location: Alexandria , VA Duration: 1+ year *Requirements:* Cisco CCNP (CCVP – would be a bonus) with Minimum of 8 years related experience Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related discipline, or the equivalent in training and experience Cisco IOS experience required Cisco Voice experience (bonus) Extensive Knowledge in LAN's, WAN's, and network security IP routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, RIP, BGP) VPN technologies (IPSEC, DMVPN, MPLS) WAN technologies (Frame Relay, MPLS, Ethernet, PPP) LAN technologies (Ethernet, WiFi, 802.1q, PAGP/LACP) Cisco Hardware (6500, 2900, 2800, 3500, NAC, Nexus 2000) Cisco technologies (VSS, SRST, MGCP) Overall working knowledge of system architecture, redundancy and fault tolerance, databases, personal computer hardware, local area networks, wireless networking, SAN's, IP Voice Solutions, and cabling topologies Familiarity with Network Management tools including, but not limited to: CiscoWorks, Solar Winds, NetScout, OpNet, RADIUS/TACACS servers, SNMP Preliminary information: Cisco Engineer CCMP or CCVP level preferred Experience with Cisco Call Manager/Unity Connections (currently on 8.5/7.x), Cisco Emergency Responder (CER), Nexus infrastructure.
