Job Title: Sr. Performance Test Engineer Location: Salisbury, NC Duration: 12 months Requirements: 10 plus years of exeperience with IT and testing 7 years of overall performance testing experience with Performance testing being the primary focus Bachelor*s degree in Computer Science or equivalent education/work experience Experience, training and expertise in the planning, design, execution, documentation and reporting of test results. Extensive expertise on Performance Testing HTTP and web services. Demonstrated ability to set up test scripts to produce load necessary to accurately mimic real world/production like conditions. Experience in the use of HP Quality Center/ALM and Performance Center. Working knowledge of Site Scope monitoring Experience with UNIX, Linux, and AIX platforms Experience with Windows Server platforms Demonstrated skills in the areas of system and application test planning for performance test execution. Experience with database designs as well as interfaces between systems Experience in creating performance test plans, cases, and scripts in order to measure key performance oriented system and application metrics. Demonstrated problem analysis and problem solving skills in a technical environment. Strong data / metrics extraction, parsing and correlation skills to develop meaningful results from various metrics. Experience in writing SQL queries and executing test scripts Working knowledge of network protocols being able to communicate effectively with network technicians Preferred Qualification (Identify the education and experience requirements desired for the position.) Experience Performance Testing in the Retail Industry Ability to engage at multiple levels and organizational lines. Expertise with network configuration, software installation, and performance profiling.
