*Need :Sr.Python/ETL DeveloperLocation :Rockville, MDDuration:6+months* *Super HOT POSITION * Senior ETL/SQL developer that has *Netezza or Greenplum* experience and very *strong Unix scripting experience*. Strong *ETL, SQL, Netezza or Greenplum, strong background in data warehousing, Unix scripting, and Big Data.* *Responsibilities:* Responsible for analyzing requirements, prototyping data analysis solutions (primarily in SQL and UNIX scripting), developing and unit testing solutions, and facilitating solution deployment and support. Develop Python scripts and SQL to Extract, Transform and Load data. Design, develop and test the ETL framework and processes to build data structures that serve various reporting/ analytical. Strong SQL/Unix Scripting (including analytic function knowledge) and Teradata DB experience along with Data warehousing methodologies. Complexity behind this project is the volume of data, the integration of disparate data sets, and the analytic processing. Backend consists of multiple database systems including Oracle 11g, Netezza, Greenplum, and Hadoop accessed from Solaris or Linux application servers. Ability to perform Quality Assurance to ensure high quality code is put in production. Adapt to new tools and methodologies as necessary *Required:* *10+ years IT (SDLC*) experience *5+ years of Python* development (additional dev skills preferred-Java/SAS/C++). *5+ years of ETL* development *5+ years SQL* Development, SQL Performance Tuning – Oracle, PostGres (Netezza/Greenplum preferred).
