Location : NY Duration : 12 Months Javascript, *Sakai*, WebCT, Blackboard, content management systems, Drupal, Linux/Unix operating system, Web 2.0, Ajax, RSS, OpenLaszlo, web services APIs, MYSQL, Oracle Senior Developer will be joining a creative team with the Center for Media and Instructional Innovation (CMI2) at Yale University. The candidate will be responsible for managing software development and sustainable technical strategies for a variety of educational needs, both on- and off-campus. The ideal candidate will have an exceptional track record of planning, leading and building world-class academic applications. *Essential Duties: * 1. Lead development and set best practices for emerging instructional tools and applications. 2. Act as a key developer for Yale's deployment of *Sakai*, Classes*v2. 3. Manage multiple projects to deadline while working in a hands-on fast-paced production environment. 4. Coordinate the efforts of diverse teams (including faculty, staff, graphic designers, network personnel and other IT professionals) within a collaborative development environment. 5. Address and advocate for the end-users experience and develop methodologies that address usability goals. 6. Manage external partnerships with contracted personnel. 7. Ensure the pedagogical integrity of projects through systematic instructional design and clear writing of project plans, scripts, and storyboards. 8. Spark effective communications among all project team members, including clients, to ensure project success. 9. Address and advocate for the end-user's experience, and develop methodologies and assessment techniques that address usability goals. 10.
