WORK LOCATION: =================================================================================================== Role: Test/Quality Assurance Customer Care Engineer Duration: 6+ months Location: Herndon, VA EDUCATION Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, computer science or related discipline (Masters preferred). EXPERIENCE • 3-5 year’s minimum experience as a systems and/or test engineer • Experience with network protocols including TCP/IP, SNMP, DHCP, IGMP, SIP, SOAP, IMS, VoIP, and TR-069 • Experience with a digital cable head-end (i.e. CMTS, etc.) infrastructure and DOCSIS experience • Experience testing broadband access network gateways in a customer’s lab environment • Self-starter, detail oriented, and ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment • Team player with strong interpersonal, written and verbal skills. • Experience with Cable system technologies a plus • Experience with HP Quality Center a plus • Experience with SIPp, Hammer Load Blaster, and iperf tools a plus RESPONSIBILITIES The candidate will be responsible for test and validation of various Technicolor cable broadband network access and home networking products (e.g. cable modems residential gateways, wireless routers, VOIP devices, etc.) at the customer’s site. The candidate will: • Run test cases in the customer’s lab and accurately document the results.
