Title: *Infrastructure PM* Location: *Pittsburgh, PA* Duration: *6+ Months* *POSITIONAL OVERVIEW*: Manage the overall delivery of enterprise wide deployment of IT technical projects including application, infrastructure, implementations and upgrades as well as voice and data network projects. Run complex projects/programs from design to development to production. Define business requirements and plan project lifecycle deployment. Develop and manage the program plan including project plans, schedules, budgets and auxiliary plans. *ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES:* - Pre- project/program setup - Establish foundation of project approval & support - Understand strategic values and identify Key Stakeholders/Executive Sponsors - Develop Business Case and obtain project approval - Work with Executive Sponsor and IT resources to identify road maps (timelines) and budgets - Develop and manage project plan (deliverables, goals and milestones). - Create and document auxiliary plans including project scope management, process definition, communication plan, validation (UAT) plan, training plan, etc. - Establish project plan infrastructure. Ensure projects have process/tools for all project stages - Manage project tasks and timelines. - Assign tasks and resources including planning, design, development, configuration, testing, deployment and post implementation support. - Manage and understand all aspects of the project (example - manage application SME and understand all aspects of the application) - Prepare and present project status report to technical team and senior management - Analyze project progress against plan and identify risks/issues and take corrective action - Create strategies for risk mitigation and contingency planning. Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans. - Manage and track all phases of the project (development, bug tracking, user acceptance testing, training and deployment schedules) - Contribute to system testing and user acceptance testing phase of development by evaluating new functionality in order to identify potential problem areas, and make the appropriate recommendations. - Collaborate with business units and stakeholders to define project scope, goals and deliverables - Evaluate change requests to determine effort required to configure/update applications. - Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the organization. - Develop best practices and tools for software project execution and management. *EDUCATION:* Bachelor's degree in IT or related field is required. PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification or equivalent preferred. *EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:* - Minimum 5-10 years of project management or IT Management. - Minimum 3 years experience coordinating and/supporting IT business processes. - Program/Product Managers require scheduling and budgeting experience. - Disciplines in enterprise Program Management, Experience in principles of governance, Experience in best-practices of infrastructure. Experienced in planning, evaluating, directing, tracking, analyzing and coordinating complex projects. - Proficient in Microsoft Office is required. - Excellent verbal and written communications skills are a must.
