Position: *Mainframe Programmer/Analyst* Location: *Carson City**, NV* Duration:* 2 Months* Rate: *$40-$45/hr* all inclusive on C2C *Description:* * * - A strong working knowledge of *Application Support Facility* (ASF) in both batch and online environments with emphasis on *Document Composition * features with and without macros. - Five plus (5+) years of experience with *Cross System Product (CSP)* or *COBOL* programming in both *batch* and *CICS* environments. - Five plus (5+) years of experience with troubleshooting and tracing * JCL* processes including spawned *JCL (JCL* submitted to the internal reader from a *CICS* process). - Three plus (3+) years of experience with *PL/1* programming. - Seven plus (7+) years of *relational database experience*, at least two (2) years of that experience being specific to DB2 in the mainframe environment. - The ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing. - A strong working knowledge of training and/or mentoring concepts. *PROJECT OVERVIEW* Our client is currently in need of assistance with an aging Application Support Facility (ASF) forms implementation on the Client's mainframe. The consultant will be responsible for analyzing, documenting and repairing any issues with the existing ASF implementation.
