Location: Rochester, NY Duration: 6 months, Rate: Competitive rate We are currently looking for MULTIPLE Java Developers for a contract position in Rochester, NY *Please note they need to be in driving distance to Rochester, FTF interview required and the client won't be doing phone screens.* All candidates will be required to take two technical evaluations and get PASSING SCORES! *Required:* *• 8+ years of Java programming / J2EE experience • Must have very strong database and SQL skills – they will be working with complex databases (normalized models, 100’s of tables). Must be able to read complex data models or ERD diagrams. Must have object relational modeling experience.* *• Must have experience with a source code control tool and know how to merge conflicting changes. Preferred: • Experience writing EJB’s (stateless Session Beans) from ‘scratch’ (not simply using tools). Excellent understanding of session beans, container managed beans, etc.* *• Experience with ANT and ability to troubleshoot issues. • Experience with Hibernate, JBOSS, JUnit, Oracle and Weblogic • SOA is a plus. * *Please note* and send appropriate candidates - the key to this position and getting your candidates submitted and selected is the following Technical skills we are looking for a Strong Java skills. Not even so much the Beans or Struts but just solid* Java, server side development*. Also,*strong skills/experience with SQL and Oracle. These applications are data intensive and need to have tight SQL queries to efficiently move data so as not to negatively affect performance. Also, Junit testing.** * Beyond that, our client is looking for US experience.* They wants to see 5+ years of experience in the US and not very short term assignments*. We wants to see their personal involvement in the projects vs. an overview of what the project was and that they were part of the team. We looks for anything that indicates that they have experience with data intensive applications and have experience working on applications where performance is key. *We are looking for experience with troubleshooting and debugging as well as JUnit experience*. We needs people that can write good code as well as debug other's code. They need to be able and willing to also participate in post implementation support. Obviously communication skills are also important. They must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in written form.
