Description:
Good development and design experience on distributed, parallel, cloud
computing, No SQL concepts
Strong foundation in analytics, Predictive Analytics, with strong
competencies in data structures, algorithms, and design.
Strong understanding of Hadoop fundamentals.
Hands on experience on Hive, Hbase, MapReduce2 (YARN), Java
Moving data into Hive tables, using Sqoop to move data into Hadoop
Running Hive and Pig Queries to generate reports
Write MapReduce programs using Java when needed
Create UDFs or UDAFs for Hive when necessary
Moving data into HBase tables and querying data via APIs
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience in O&G Industry is a plus
Storm knowledge is a plus
Skill Requirements
5+ years of Java Programming.
3+ Years of Hadoop experience (specific experience on Hortonworks
distribution is a plus)
Hadoop/HDFS/MapReduce2 (YARN)
Hbase/NoSQL, Hive, Pig, Sqoop
