*QA AnalystRate - $32/hr on C2CLocation: Deer Park IL6+ Months Contract* Job Description: Telematics is one of the most exciting growth areas of the “Internet of Things” (IOT) — the monitoring of the location, movements, and understanding the overall status of vehicles—is experiencing a significant period of growth and is one of the most exciting areas of IoT to watch. While the connected home and wearable devices get a lot of the mainstream attention, there is more immediate and positive business impact from managing vehicles through telematics. A large automotive supplier is seeking Test Analysts to support the testing of their automotive telematics and infotainment systems. The tester will support testing and quality assurance on a Telematics product for a large automotive supplier. The Test Analyst is expected to develop test cases and test functionality, usability, and perform regression testing that spans across the telematics software including integrations with mobile devices. Requirements: • 3 - 6 years of experience in the software development and testing industry, including 2 or more years in a Quality Assurance/Testing position • 1-2 years of experience in automotive industry or similar position where testing of telematics was performed • Experience with CAN vehicle bus or/and mobile phone technology is a plus. Modern Vehicles all come equipped with a CAN-BUS (Controller Area Network) as a relay mechanism for messages that lock doors, switch the lights on, etc. • Experience with drive testing and in-vehicle testing is a plus • Hands-on experience in Acceptance, Integration, and Functional testing on various platforms • Experience in analyzing requirements and use cases to develop a robust and thorough set of test cases • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Strong process orientation and technical skills in test tools • Excellent analytical skills. • Strong proficiency working with HP Quality Center (ALM) • ISTQB or equivalent certification is a plus •
