This is an opportunity to advance the digital revolution now taking place in
higher education by developing rich web interfaces for digital learning
experiences!

The User Interface Developer will implement front-end coding best practices
for McGraw-Hill's learning and custom publishing platforms. S/he will
participate in development of a common set of Web 2.0 user interface
standards and tools which will be shared across all media technology
products and will have the opportunity to research and prototype new
technologies to enhance the user interface and user experience.  S/he will
also collaborate on storyboards, wire frames, and interface flow model
documents using the Agile process.

*S/he should have 2-5 years experience as a User Interface (Front end)
Developer, strong knowledge of HTML/XHMTL, CSS and JavaScript, and knowledge
of table-less CSS2 positioning for 508 Compliancy.*

Additional skills that will make a candidate successful: AJAX, DOJO, Agile
methodology familiarity, understanding of cross-browser compliance version
5+ browsers in a Windows/Mac environment, experience working with PhotoShop
for layouts and design modification, Flash, JSP and good oral and written
communication skills.

Client is seeking ambitious, articulate Java and OO server-side
architects/developers with 1-5 years of experience to develop and support
adaptive, student-driven learning initiatives and instructional content
authoring solutions. This is an opportunity to advance the digital
revolution now taking place in higher education! This includes opportunities
to support iPad and other mobile devices likely to be used in college
courses, and to help McGraw-Hill figure out how to translate all the
knowledge embedded in books into rich e-Learning experiences.



Candidates should have experience with Java 5+, understand Spring and REST
and/or SOAP based web services, have solid OOA/OOAP skills, “get”
test-driven development and be familiar with developing and architecting
applications used by millions of people.  They should also be willing and
able communicators who enjoy working with people, including Project Managers
and Business Analysts, to reach defect resolution and design compromises.
Additional skills that are a bonus: Hibernate or other ORM tools, Maven,
Hudson, DOJO and/or JQuery, HTML.
