*Expenses paid project. * *Description:* Scope is not just RTC - It is RTC + UCD The priority is for their UniVerse development team (Rocket UniVerse). They are looking to replace a tool called PCR (http://sjplus.com/#&panel1-1) which configuration manages their source and allows them to deploy to various environments, all in an integrated fashion. More on the related technologies here: https://u2devzone.rocketsoftware.com/ignite Their biggest issue right now is change contention between developers all sharing a single test environment. The vision they are being sold is that they can use RTC to source control their source code and then UCD to run deploys of the app. This will let them use UCD to create multiple test environments. Install of RTC and UCD may or may not be in scope. Current deploy process: zip up items tracked under a work package, move to the target environment, then call program to unzip and install. The UniVerse-based app is not very modular - there are thousands of programs (written in Rocket UniVerse BASIC) pointing at many databases. Looking to have a solution in place by end of third quarter. They have two main groups - one that does project work, then another team of 5-10 that works on tickets. The smaller team releases code weekly.
