*Position : SQL DBA * *Location : * *Edina, MN* *Duration : 6-12 Months Interview : Phone / Skype * *USC Only* *Job Description:* · Provide primary support for MS SQL Server databases. · Develop PowerShell scripts and automation to support our enterprise automation strategies (about 10% of the job). · Plan and design new SQL Server implementations, including database definition, structure, documentation and long-range requirements. · Demonstrate the knowledge and ability to perform in all of the basic database management skills of database administration, web connectivity, physical structure, overall architecture, and database analysis · Provide standardization and consistency across environments. · Apply database management consulting skills and gather user requirements. · Design, implement, and monitor database functionality to ensure stable environments. *Job Responsibilities:* · 5+ years' experience working with: SQL Server 2008, 2012, or 2014 in a production support role. · SQL Server DBMS monitoring and tuning. · 3+ years' experience writing PowerShell support scripts, commandlets, and functions for automated management tasks. · Experience with SQL Server Always-On Availability groups.
