*Linux Systems Engineer * *Location: **Fort Lauderdale, FL* *Estimated Duration:* 6 months with possible extension. *Responsibilities:* • Administrate in UNIX Novel SuSE / SLES 9, 10, 11 and 12; • Install / configure IIS for performance tuning; • Use IIS creating connections to a backend SQL database; • Install, monitor and support Web and Application Servers on Linux environments; • Create and maintain users, profiles, security, rights, disk space and process monitoring; • Setup and configure network TCP/IP including RPC connectivity for NFS; • Create mount points for Server directories, and mount these directories on Linux Servers. *Requirements:* • Experience in System Administration, Installation, Upgrading, Patches, Migration, Configuration, Troubleshooting, Security, Backup, Disaster Recovery, Performance Monitoring and Fine-tuning on UNIX systems (4+ years); • Experience as a UNIX Administrator in Novel SuSE / SLES 9, 10, 11 and 12 (4+ years); • Experience with Windows Active Directories, Exchange, DHCP and DNS configurations; • Experience in EMC CX4 and VNX5400 SAN Storage administration; • Experience installing and configuring Apache, LDAP and mail servers; • Experience performing DR tests of UNIX and whole UNIX infrastructure, DNS changes; • Experience using diagnostic and debugging tools such as Dtrace, Strace, truss and Top; • Experience writing Shell scripts using ksh, bash, perl, for process automation of databases, applications, backup and scheduling; • Experience upgrading SLES and patching; • Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) or equivalent MCITP (Microsoft Certified IT Professional), or Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) in Windows Server and Windows Server SQL Server, or (CLA) Certified Linux Administrator.
