JBoss Admin

St. Louis, MO

6 Months to start

F2F interview is required

*Details below.*

Here are some notes on what they liked about the resource they interviewed:

They liked that he had JBOSS 6 and that he had done implementations before.

They just implemented JBOSS into their environment about 2 weeks back. They
support the entire e-commerce environment as well. It has quite a few .NET
and Java applications that sit on it. This person is mainly responsible for
identifying the issues occurring in the environment, how to fix it, and the
correspond with the team that has ownership of the system and instruct them
how to fix it. Afterward they will test it to make sure it was fixed
accurately.

*JD:*

This is an extremely fast paced moving team and they interact with an
multitude of teams at charter supporting the e-commerce platform. They
refer to themselves as the “problem identifiers.” Their main
responsibilities are to identify why a problem is occurring by doing deep
dive analysis on the database, systems and code. From there they will
escalate to the proper team to get it resolved with detail instruction on
what the correct outcome should be and where the problem originally
occurred. This is going to be a test environment of trial and error to
come to the solution and game plans to resolve these issues.

This individual really needs to understand the structure of the Oracle DB
as well as the ins and outs of JBOSS.

JBOSS - They will administer, configure, and troubleshoot to identify if it
is a JBOSS issue or not. Once identified they will lead the JBOSS specific
team on how to go about making the changes. They are problem identifiers
and engage the appropriate teams that can make the changes for us.

Oracle DB - They need to be able to read and instruct how queries are
written. They will be telling the DB team what they are seeing in logs and
pinpointing where the issues are. They will be corresponding with the
Oracle DBAs to get these issues resolved. They have to be able to identify
where the issue is, why it is there and how to fix it. THEN hand off to be
fixed.

*Team:*

Outgoing, sarcastic, fast-paced, get the job done mentality. Size is 13
people and there is a lot of coordination with the IT SOC (Tier 1 & 2
positions we worked on).
