*ETL DeveloperLewisville, TX (Locals only, F2F Needed)9+ Months Contract* *Rate: $50/hr* *SHORT DESCRIPTION:* Responsible for the analysis, design and development and support of ETL jobs to populate the enterprise data warehouse (EDW). Development of various data imports and extracts, as well as transformations of files to different formats/structures. *KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:* - Entry level - Participate in gathering requirements from users (technical and business) and perform analysis related to those requests. - Design, develop, and maintain ETL jobs and scripts via SAP Data Services in accordance with Client standards - Document jobs written - Share 24-hour pager support of production jobs and resolution of issues as necessary Advanced Level Independently gather requirements from users and complete necessary analysis Model and design data structures to support ETL jobs and EDW. Ongoing monitoring and analysis of jobs to ensure continued performance within required SLA’s Create level of effort estimates as needed for new jobs as well as changes to existing jobs *QUALIFICATIONS:* - To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required: - Strong analytical, and Problem Solving Skills - Understanding and development of advanced SQL. Experience or knowledge around query optimization is a plus. - Knowledge of Data Warehouse Concepts and Dimensional Modeling is a plus. - Attention to detail and thorough. - Good Communication, organization and prioritization skills - Good Understanding of business concepts and ability to understand the specific business requirements - Experience building jobs that process data in batches, or process large amounts of data - Experience doing this with Business Objects Data Integrator, Data Services, or other comparable tool is ideal - Experience gathering and documenting business requirements for ETL *EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:* - 5+ years of active experience in data type services (ideally ETL development) with good understanding of advanced SQL and performance tuning. Understanding of basic dimensional modeling is an advantage. - 2+ years experience developing with Data Services or equivalent experience. - Experience using third-party query tools such as TOAD™, SQL*Plus™ DBVisualizer and SQL navigator - Oracle database experience preferred.
