*MicroSoft Dynamics AX6+ MonthsHouston, TX* *Locals ONLY* Design, develop and implement software solutions across our Microsoft Dynamics AX Platform. This position is responsible for utilizing industry standard software development methodologies to develop solutions and resolve issues across our Microsoft Dynamics AX platform. Must have experience in MicroSoft Dynamics AX with at least 2-4 years of experience. Strong Dynamics AX experience within the financial and logistic modules. Minimum 2-4 years of development experience. -AX 2009 implementation complete, need a resource for continued support, bug fixes. Plan to upgrade to the latest AX version in 2016/2017 potentially. -Database development experience using T-SQL in an MS SQL server environment -Must be familiar w/compare tool and familiarity with AX Layers -Experience configuring or developing workflows in AX -Strong knowledge of Object Oriented Programming with experience in Java, C++ or X++ (preferably in AX) -Experience writing SSRS reports or experience writing SSIS integrations -Implementation and support for basic file transfer protocols including EDI, XML and flat file transactions -Need someone who s proactive and takes initiative. Also someone who can work with end user customers to translate the deliverables and requirement gathering. -Also looking for someone who has done process improvement, implemented best practices. Responsibilities: • Live and demonstrate the ways of working • Assess requirements as generated by IT peers or users to effectively develop and implement software solutions that meet high levels of quality, security and performance. • Formulates plan outlining steps required to develop program, using structured analysis and design. • Utilize industry recognized software development methodologies when developing solutions • Lead the technical design and development of software solutions across ERP Environment • Effectively troubleshoot and provide resolutions to ERP related issues as a level 3 support resource • Analyzes, reviews, and alters program to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements. • Effectively document design and development work in line with change management procedures • Assists IT peers and users to solve problems or develop enhancements • Work in a fast paced and highly integrated ERP environment • Frequent engagement with geographically dispersed internal customers to define requirements for new capabilities and deliver standardized solutions to meet the common requirements. • Analyze existing software programs and procedures, recommends additional programming methods and/or routines to improve efficiency.
