| Duties & Responsibilites : | Job Description: The Programmer Analyst participates in the identification and development of program and system specifications in .Net and Business Objects. In addition you’ll: • Provide input on cost analyses, systems and program design, testing, and maintenance and documentation of new and existing system and console applications, as well as Business Objects reports. • Respond, analyze, and formulate a solution to system problems to avoid interruption of services to users. • Perform other job-related duties requiring the same general degree of responsibility. • Provide knowledge transfer between projects and personnel What it Takes • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or comparable major • Experience programming in VB.NET, Visual Basic, C++ and/or Java • Experience with developing web applications • Database experience with SQL Server; SQL and stored procedures • Experience with Business Objects and Crystal Reports is desirable. • Eligible to work in the US, Sentry does not offer employment in this position to holders of F-1, J-1 and H-1 Visas for the purpose of obtaining practical experience. • Additional programming related experience is a plus • Experience working on an agile development team is a plus • Will need to be able to work with internal business units as well as Reports Lead. • General Financial/Insurance knowledge is a plus |
