Duties & Responsibilites : | -Responsible for the coordination and facilitation of scrum based projects. May require a bachelor's degree and 7-10 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Desire 1-2 years of experience in Scrum.
-The Scrum Master/Technical Project Manager is responsible for the management of software development and support in the Talent domain.
-The Scrum Master is engaged with planning, organizing and managing activities to achieve successful completion of agile projects to ensure commitments on quality, scope, time and budget are met.
-The functional groups that the Scrum Master partners with include Product Development, Product Management, Implementation, and Hosting.
Required Skills/Experience:
• Experience playing the Scrum Master role for at least 1 year for a software development team.
• Experience being on multiple Scrum teams in a variety of contexts (different team sizes, different organizations, different cultures, co-located vs. distributed, etc.)
• Understand the basic fundamentals of iterative development, incremental delivery and the value of metrics.
• Knowledge of numerous sprint and release retrospective formats and techniques.
• Facilitating getting the work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating the work.
• Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.
Additional Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the coordination and facilitation of Scrum based projects.
• Works directly with the Product Owner/Proxy for backlog management and prioritization for Scrum teams.
• Create and maintain release plans and schedules including deliverables across all impacted areas of assigned projects. Provide oversight and leadership during project execution to ensure alignment with project deadlines.
• Track and report project progress to stakeholders and senior management. Prepare status reports that include burn down metrics, velocity and defect charts.
• Assisting with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information.
• Facilitating discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution.
• Must be adept at using Rally’s Agile Tool for Scrum and Kanban.
• Providing all support to the team using a servant leadership style whenever possible, and leading by example.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree with 7-10 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
• Desire 1-2 years of experience in Scrum with knowledge of other Agile approaches such as Kanban.
• Scrum Master Certification (CSM/PSM).
