Job Title : Sr. Quality Assurance-Performance Tester
Location : Ft Worth, TX

Duties & Responsibilites :

-Lead development and enhancement of performance testing framework and test harness.
-Provide leadership of complex performance test projects by developing the strategy and approach and ensuring performance test harness development, execution and maintenance.
-Collaborate with other Performance Engineers and other Sr. QA Engineers across the enterprise to deliver robust performance automation solutions that meet Client test automation and performance standards.
-Responsible for leading and monitoring all performance testing activities in assigned complex, distributed and multi-tiered systems.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- High level technical resource for Performance Engineering discipline who will lead planning, design, development, testing and implementation of Performance testing best practices across the IT organization
- Provide advanced expertise in designing, coding, and enhancing performance test automation
- Lead estimation process, testing, coordination and status reporting for complex performance testing projects/efforts
- Collaborate with other Performance Engineers across the enterprise to deliver robust performance automation solutions for large scale testing involving multiple complex systems
- Work with Business and IT teams to determine and capture Performance Requirements
- In collaboration with QM teams and other project members, create and design performance test strategies and approaches for complex applications and development projects
- Provide technical expertise regarding tools and processes for performance test automation
- Collaborate with Architects, developers and QM Analysts to plan, develop Performance Test Plan, Test Strategy and Load Profile
- Debug the scripts and troubleshoot performance issues with the application
- Identify performance Bottlenecks and assist development team with resolution
- Monitor Performance test, analyze the performance test results and communicate findings to project team
- Create rich performance test results reports
- Administer Performance Center tool and other key tools utilized in performance environment (such as SiteScope)
- Document and provide guidance to performance test practice in respect to best practices, process improvement and performance test strategies.
- Develop utilities to support data creation, database restoration and other performance test pre-requisites
- Schedule and coordinate testing activities occurring in the performance test environment across enterprise
- Guide and Mentor junior performance team members

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Undergraduate degree in CS/CE/CIS/MIS/Engineering/Technology a related field or equivalent experience and or training.
- 7+ years of QA Performance Engineering and/or application development experience
- 5+ years’ experience with LoadRunner and/or Performance Center is required
- Performance Lead experience highly preferred but not required.
- Highly Skilled in Load Generation tools (HP Loadrunner, Jmeter, or others)
- Experience or advanced knowledge of programming and scripting languages (HP Loadrunner Vugen, C/C++ and/or Java and/or unix)
- Experience identifying performance bottlenecks and working with developers/architects to tune applications
- Ability to quickly analyze, identify and resolve script or data issues in test harness and test suites
- Experience in adapting/building an automated Performance testing framework based on re-usable components
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, team player
- Experienced with Windows, UNIX, XML, Web Services, REST, Java, J2EE, Perl, ASP.NET and others
- Strong knowledge or performance test concepts and strategies
- Experience and expert at testing SOA and Web Services
- Full SDLC experience; Agile experience
- Flexibility and adaptable to changing environments
- Experienced user of Microsoft Office Tools (project, excel, word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Skilled in all performance test types (load, endurance, stress, soak, scalability, etc)
- Expert with monitoring tools such as perfmon, sitescope, netmon, diagnostics, dynatrace etc.
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new tools and skills
- Administration of Performance Center or Quality Center required
- Experience with Oracle NCA, WebServices protocols
- Airline experience – a plus
