Duties & Responsibilites : | - We are seeking a talented user experience designer with a passion for creating compelling, innovative, and enjoyable user experiences.
- You will lead design efforts on a variety of products in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- You will work closely with product owners, usability researchers, engineers, other designers, and developers to create and improve next-generation online experiences.
- This position gives you the chance to innovate and design new products and services for T-Mobile USA. You will define the customer experience for existing and new web and mobile experiences, establishing and/or adhering to conventions and standards.
- You must be able to understand the balance of user experience, business case, and time-to-market, and make trade-offs where appropriate, as you must understand customer needs as well as business and functional requirements
- You will work closely with user research and product management team to define user experience, user interaction model, workflow, and information architecture.
- You will work with usability researchers to gather data on the design and iterate, and collaborate with visual designers, content strategists and engineering teams to implement your designs
- Create storyboards, detailed and comprehensive wireframes, workflows, prototypes, and requirements that effectively communicate the information design and interaction design.
- Deliver high fidelity schematics, workflows, interaction storyboards, and design deliverables that guide creative, content, and development efforts
- Confidently present design decisions to teams and stakeholders, articulating and rationalizing needs against user insights and business goals
- Maintain an awareness of industry and UX trends, sharing with peers and the broader community and leveraging them within the design lifecycle
Minimum Required Skills / Competencies:
-2+ years working as an interaction designer or information architect for web or mobile software applications.
-BA/BS/Certification in HCI, HCDE or design-related field required, or equivalent work experience in UCD.
-Solid understanding of the fundamentals of user interface design; experience working through the entire product life cycle and direct experience in User-Centered Design process and methodologies.
-Robust knowledge of web and mobile design constraints and nuances. Direct experience designing for multiple platforms.
-Strong verbal and writing skills, with the ability to communicate the value of UX to product, business, and technology leaders. Clear, organized writing, communication and presentation skills.
-Able to operate in self-directed capacity with minimal oversight.
-Deep experience with broad range of UX research, design and implementation tools (Axure, Balsamiq, Lightroom, Visio, Omnigraffle, Morae, Adobe CS, Invision, etc.)
