Duties & Responsibilites :

-Research, evaluate, and analyze problems, network performance data, solutions, tools, advanced functionality, industry trends, and best practices; determine impact of alternatives and options; prepare written and verbal reports and presentations, technical articles, and white papers; make recommendations for enterprise architecture, tools, techniques, solutions, and enhancements; determine process for implementation and integration.
-Assist in problem resolution of the most complex nature and as pertains to enterprise architecture.
-Monitor and analyze system and storage performance and provide capacity planning solutions for all related assets.
-Implement maintenance plans and policies for servers including updates and patch management.
-Provide mentorship, guidance and oversight for troubleshooting and researching message logs.
-Design, implement and verify system backup and restore policies and procedures.
-Design, plan and establish monitoring processes for backup logs to assure successful backups are obtained and failed backups are reported appropriately.
-Assist in managing or may manage project tasks, costs, time frames, changes, etc.; document project activities; and communicate status of projects to managers and staff, customers, and external entities.
-Departmental financial report is managed within budget.
-Attains overall bottom line defined as: Total Gross Revenue
-Total Deductions and Adjustments + Other Operating Revenue 
-Operating Expenses + or - Affiliation Gain/Losses, Less Investment Results = Overall Bottom Line.
-Effectively participates on a performance improvement initiative.

QUALIFICATIONS:
-Requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer information systems, or another information technology related field and two years of professional-level work experience specific to the position or a two year degree in computer science, computer information systems, or another information technology related field and four years of professionallevel work experience specific to the position or eight years of professional-level work experience specific to the position

Required Skills:
-Requires technical knowledge of principles, concepts, and methodology.
-Requires extensive experience in duties of an equivalent type and complexity as those performed at this level.
-Duties are not specifically defined and will vary depending upon circumstances.
-Analysis is necessary to create appropriate work procedure.
-Application of learned concepts and/or theories is necessary to accomplish a broad range of activities.
-Employees receive guidance and direction.
-Duties include coordinating policy interpretation and individual initiative.
-Problems are solved by revising the procedures or methods needed to fit the situation.
-Duties include planning, organizing, and determining method to produce desired results.

-Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with other employees, organizations and the public.
-Strong communication skills are key to this position.
-Must have common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form.

Physical Effort: 
-Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping and stretching. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient -to operate a keyboard, computer, telephone and other office equipment.
-Requires ability to view terminal screen for long periods of time without eye-strain or stress.
-Requires lifting of boxes up to 50 pounds on occasion.
