We have new opportunities for SAS Application Developers to join our Data Analytics team. You will lead SAS program design and deliver the technical SAS solutions for both small and strategic project initiatives. You will work within our team or across teams with both business analysts and customers to understand their requirements, facilitate specifications, design solutions, develop and execute the solution, and perform data analysis and quality assurance to ensure the results are what is expected. Roles/Responsibilities: * Lead SAS program design and project execution to deliver the technical SAS solution for both small and large strategic project initiatives. Experience using SAS macro language, ODS, and SAS BI tools preferred. * Influence senior leadership to adopt new ideas, products, and/or approaches * Engage with senior management supplying input for key design and architecture decisions as well as work estimation and resource planning * Predict emerging customer needs and develops innovative solutions to meet them * Develop innovative solutions to meet the needs of the business and promote best practices * Collaborate with the team on application architecture design and decision-making * Interpret and execute requirements, functional specifications and technical design documents for incoming projects and communicate these effectively to the team * Provide alternate design solutions and realistic project estimates for incoming projects * Design and implement application enhancements in collaboration with different teams * Perform unit, system and regression testing for SAS programs to meet high quality objective * Troubleshoot operational support issues to quickly identify and solution. * Contribute to knowledge sharing, ideas and information relating to SAS technologies and be the key technical expert within the team * Function as a mentor for junior developers providing guidance and assistance when needed * Execute on smaller projects independently including interactions with other teams and 3rd parties for design and architecture * Conduct data extraction from many different database platforms and review, analyze, and present information to ensure expected results. * Design and develop processes in a UNIX Environment utilizing shell scripts. * Design, develop, and maintain processes in a MVS Mainframe environment utilizing JCL and SAS. * Implement processes utilizing TWS job scheduler. * Develop data extracts from Oracle, DB2, Teradata, and other database platforms utilizing SQL. * Knowledge and experience using administrative healthcare data.
