Job Title : Systems & Software Technician III Positions : 1 Duration: 3+ Months Work Location : San Diego (Rancho Bernardo), CA. Job Description : Systems & Software Technicians are responsible for supporting distributed computing and telecommunications network operations and procedures. The technician works within a team environment to: support computer systems, workstations, peripheral equipment, networks, communications equipment; perform basic programming, documentation, and testing; and provide support for user's software and hardware requirements to insure uninterrupted availability and operation. Requires knowledge of computer operations, programming, documentation, testing, and computer hardware and software, knowledge of the hardware, software, transmission, signaling, switching and routing components used in communications networks, knowledge of the policies, practices, tools for protecting the security of data and information systems and networks, and ability to solve simple network server problems and manage the performance of a LAN environment. Typical requirements are a 2-year Associate Degree or equivalent plus 3-5 years of experience in related roles. This is a non-exempt position.; Below are the key words and duties for this position: VMware Virtualization Eningeer vSphere vCenter administration - Create clusters, vMotion, update ESX hosts. Deploy and trouble shoot Virtual Machines Vitrual Networking, work on the vitural distributed switch Experience with multi-site virtualixation farms and VM disaster recovery would be useful but not required. Newtworking knowledge: . Routing, subnets, vLans, 10 gig would be useful. . Linux Administration with NFS knowledge prefered . Windows Administration with Active Directory Knowledge prefered.
