We are working directly with client on a major infrastructure initiative which will positively impact client operations in years to come. We are looking for Sr. Unix administrator d who has strong Veritas product suite exp *Knowledge and Skills Required:* · In-depth knowledge of *Solaris & SUSE Linux* is required. A Solaris Certification is desired. Other demonstrated related business experience will be considered - Perform virtualization and optimization of *Solaris 10* and *SLES Linux* servers as part of Compute Landscape Optimization team. - Migrate and virtualize (Physical to Virtual) production Solaris 10 servers with attached *EMC SAN storage* under *Veritas Volume Manager* to Solaris zones managed by Veritas Cluster Server environment and do failover testing to DR environment with application team testing to certify the server for production release as required by the bank standard. - Migrate and virtualize production SLES Linux servers from physical to virtual using VMWare convertor tools. - Work on Virtual to Virtual migration of production Solaris 10 zones with attached EMC SAN storage to another Solaris 10 server for consolidation of resources and to reduce maintenance cost by eliminating redundancy of servers in datacenter. - Perform routine System Administrative tasks for Solaris 10 and SLES Linux servers such as installing packages - Work with storage team to validate LUN masking on target Parent host for *(P2V/V2V) migration*, pre-activation checks by testing *VCS failover/failback* of newly built servers to DR and resolving various user and server issues as part of team requirement. *Regards,* Tejas Patel *X**Duce* Certified Minority Business Enterprise Consulting | Staffing | Licensing |Training – www.xduce.com Phone: 732-564-6391 |Email: tejas.pa...@xduce.com -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "American Vendor--IT Consulting" group.
