Position : Application Architect
Location : NYC
Duration : 3-6 Months
*Application Architect*
Client is looking for an Application Architect with technical expertise in
component-based distributed systems in a digital-commerce environment.
Specifically, a successful candidate with have deep, detailed experience in
the design and development of Portal and Portlet applications using the
Spring application framework. Such experience should include application
integration, database design, Security, Object Oriented Analysis and
Design, UML and expertise in applying common design patterns. Broad experience
in Internet development languages, tools and methods including HTML, XML,
Java, and Javascript is a must. Experience with enterprise-level
architecture integration (e.g. web servers, middleware), workflow and
transaction monitors is also a requirement. The candidate should have a
working knowledge of Oracle technologies and SCRUM projects. Expertise with
popular IDE's is strongly desired.

- End to End Application Design and Documentation

- Implementation Oversight ensuring design alignment
- OOAD and Java EE expertise, Spring Application Framework, expertise,
UML, SCRUM, Weblogic, Oracle
- Experience with Portlets
- Designing and/or developing critical reference architecture materials.
- Applying architectural standards and software engineering best
practices.
- Preparing architectural artifacts and governance documents.
- Identifying and addressing key architectural requirements and
constraints.
- Communicating technical direction, architectural risk and issues and
associated tradeoffs to development staff, peers and senior management.
- Implementation Support
- Demonstrated experience with Agile methodology preferred
