Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Provide analysis, design, development, implementation and maintenance of Java (JEE) applications; Work closely with customers, business analysts, and team members to understand business; Write, translate and code software programs and applications according to specifications; Provide maintenance, enhancement and support for a variety of the agency’s Java Applications; Assist in the preparation and documentation of program requirements and specifications Research and document requirements of program users; Assist in the development and maintenance of user manuals and guidelines; Work with network administrators, systems analysts and software engineers to assist in resolving problems with software products or company software systems; Provide mentoring and guidance to junior programmers. Experience developing Java applications; Experience in Java Frameworks such as Struts/Tiles, Struts 2, Servlets/JSP, JPA/Hibernate (3+ years); Experience in XML, HTML and CSS (3+ years); Experience using Subversion and Maven 2 and/or 3; Experience with relational and object-oriented database designs; Experience with object-oriented design methodologies; Experience with Information Systems Development Methodology (ISDM); Experience with database security, including role-based security; Experience with Unified Modeling Language (UML); Experience in the design and development of financial management systems (preferred); Experience with accounting principles (preferred).
