Direct Client:: Phone/Skype Hire Location: Albany, NY Duration: 12+ months Rate: Open Skills Needed . 24 Months of Experience doing MS Access Application Development utilizing databases containing 25 tables or more . 24 Months of Experience using Visual Basic to develop new systems . 84 Months of Experience using Enterprise Java for Application Development . 84 Months of Experience doing SQL and PL/SQL Application Development utilizing Oracle databases containing 25 tables or more . 36 Months of Experience with Struts2 doing Application Development . 24 Months of Experience Developing Web Services in Java Responsibilites * Work with NYSED's IT staff to obtain an overview of the VR Reporting system written in MS Access and Visual Basic. * SFS EE1 - Analyze existing programs to identify the code to be modified to implement the SFS EE1 changes. Modify programs based upon the analysis done. Create and implement a test plan for quality assurance of all necessary changes. Coordinate with NYSED IT staff and ACCES-VR staff for testing purposes. Organize documentation efforts to insure easy maintenance for future modifications. * Daily Operational Issues - Troubleshoot and respond to daily operational issues such as: questions from users and vendors, electronic reporting errors, snapshot (datamart) creation errors, etc. * Migration to New Platform - Once SFS EE1 changes are implemented, migrate the system to an Java/Oracle platform. Using knowledge gained from the SFS EE1 changes, design new and requested changes to existing Oracle database structures. Re-write the functionality of the MS Access/VB programs in Java * Develop Web Based portal - Analyze, code and test system that allow vendors to log on and upload their CRS Report deliverables. The reports need to be tied to a VR consumer and associated authorization.
