Job Description Senior software Open Source Developer (6 month contract) –
Maple Grove location. Open Source – primarily JavaEE, along with other Open
Source technologies (helpful to have any of--Groovy, Grails, Angular,
IntelliJ, SQL). Jira (or similar) and Agile methodology.
Our client, a technology leader in educational assessments, is looking for
a developer to use open source technologies to build a new version of one
our enterprise products. You will be working primarily with Java EE, along
with other Open Source technologies (Groovy, Grails, Angular, IntelliJ, SQL
Server.
The project is distributed scoring—hand scoring but remote web based hand
scoring program. Mostly development. Work with QA, BA, PM, Dev teams.
Position needs to be on-site, possibly some flexibility in about 2 months.
Need a solid team player and good communication skills.
*Preferred Qualifications*
• 5+ years Senior level developer working with Open source technologies
• JavaEE strong skills
• Groovy, Grails, Angular are preferred skills
• IntelliJ is new to us, so if they have advanced skills with this, that
would be really helpful, however as long as they have some knowledge at a
minimum that would work too
• Some SQL, able to write basic queries.
• JIRA
• Agile methodology
