*Need QA Analyst / QA Tester with Business Analyst experience at Los
Angeles, California for 6 Months Contract*

Skill Set :



o   At least 5 years of experience testing ASP.NET web LINE OF BUSINESS
applications, preferably in a Windows environment

o   Background in Business Analysis and/or experience in requirements
gathering and authoring of use case specifications or user stories

o   Experience with relational databases, and understanding of data
architecture

o   Working knowledge of SQL Experience with bug-tracking and test
management application (eg. Mercury TestDirector, Rational Functional
Tester/Manual Tester)

o   Experience in functional/black-box testing

o   Experience authoring test cases and test procedures from prototypes,
technical specifications, user documentation, requirements documents and use
cases, and reverse engineering requirements from existing functionality.





Job Description :



The QA Analyst we seek is an effective multi-tasker, capable of working on
several different applications and wearing several different hats in rapid
succession.

You will be responsible for designing, creating, and maintaining test
strategies, plans, and cases for quality assurance tests.

You will also be responsible for creating and maintaining test scripts,
documenting results and reporting & tracking software defects found in the
applications under test. Documenting bugs found and re-creating program
anomalies are routine functions.

Good analytical and troubleshooting skills are a must.

Flexibility and the ability to compartmentalize tasks and move swiftly from
project to project are essential.

This is a manual testing position. Automated tests are not currently within
the scope of QA activities.

Automated testers will not be considered unless they have a background in
Business Analysis or extensive manual QA experience besides.

You will work closely with developers and thus should be conversant in the
high-level vocabulary and conceptual framework of object oriented
programming and databases.

There will also be some interaction with users, to clarify requirements or
to communicate issues.

Reporting directly to the IT Project Manager, you must be self-sufficient,
capable of managing the entire QA effort and effectively partitioning your
time between several ongoing projects in various stages of development.

The Sr. QA analyst should also be able to perform simple queries in SQL
databases to verify data.
