*Role: Performance Test Engineer/ Strategist Engineer* *Location : **CA-Los Angeles* *Duration: 6+ months * *Responsibilities:* - Partner with system engineers to understand business requirements and overall system requirements/architecture to gain a solid understanding of the projects. - Create test strategy documents early in the project lifecycle which defines the critical test areas, test environment and data requirements and internal and external dependencies including use of tools - Review and socialize test strategy document with cross-functional teams - Generating performance test plans to validate the performance requirements as per the system/performance specifications. - Generating load patterns and models based on past and projected load numbers - Developing scripts and executing the performance tests to properly and rigorously estimate the performance metrics of the system. - Identifying, analyzing, and documenting any defects discovered during testing. - Working with the development teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues and provide fine tuning recommendations - Generating test reports to document all test results. - Support the test execution through entire test lifecycle from initial kick-off to final certification *Qualifications* - Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Engineering or Computer Science - 4+years of relevant experience in entertainment and media industry - 4+ years of experience in creating test strategy documents, triaging integration issues between sub systems in test labs, test design, & test planning - Solid technical understanding of the broadcast and broadband streaming end-to-end architecture and high level understanding of sub systems - Familiar with different technologies i.e. Linux/Unix, J2EE, databases, web applications, SOA / web services and mobile platforms - Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment - Experience with methodologies including, but not limited to Agile, RUP, or Waterfall - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision - Ability to work in a fast paced environment with the ability to adapt and change priorities as the business needs change - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to tailor communication to the target audience to achieve desired results - ISTQB or similar certification a plus Thanks & Regards*,* Siddharth Tiwari Talent Hunter Phone: 609-897-9670 x 2152 Email: siddha...@sysmind.com Fax: 609-228-5522 Address: 38 Washington Road, Princeton Jn, NJ 08550 *[image: cid:image001.gif@01CD1E36.E1381A30]* <http://www.sysmind.com/> -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "American Vendor--IT Consulting" group.
