*GC ,USC,H1 * *MSBI and QlikView Administrator* Position: MSBI and QlikView Administrator Position Type: Contract to hire Duration: 6+ months Location: Miami, FL Rate: 40$/hr max Our Client s currently looking for an experienced & highly motivated MSBI and QlikView Administrator to be part of an enterprise BI support and operations team. This candidate will share responsibility for the deployment, administration, governance and support of a large and growing MSBI and QlikView enterprise environments. *Responsibilities:* - Configure SQL Server monitoring utilities to minimize false alarms - As new systems are brought in-house, choose whether to use clustering, log shipping, mirroring, Windows Azure, or other technologies - Install and configure new SQL Servers - When performance issues arise, determine the most effective way to increase performance, server configuration changes, or index/query changes - Document the company’s database environment - Responsible for Status reporting - Responsible for estimation, planning and execution with specific focus on requirement analysis and design - Technical problem solving skills - MSBI Admin would be a good to have skill - Work with the Development team to help and configure MSBI access - Participate in overall infrastructure design, strategy and on-going maintenance of the QlikView suite of products - Work closely with other technology teams for the deployment, configuration, system support of multiple services across an expansive and diverse technology environment - Install, configure and upgrade QlikView Server, Publisher and other 3rd Party tools - Analyze Windows Event logs and QlikView Server/Publisher log files to troubleshoot and solve issues; Identify potential solutions to resolve and prevent service interruptions - Administer/maintain access to Qlikview Management Console for document administrators - Pro-actively monitor the QlikView environment to ensure performance on the servers - Perform load/regression testing on dashboards using J-Meter for efficiency and to minimize risk to the environment - Manage migration of QLIK objects between Development, QA and Production environments - Define best practices and governance for QlikView deployments - Mentor developers and provide technical documentation, developer guides and assist in trouble shooting - Participate in the design reviews to ensure conformance to design/certification standards - Maintain knowledge on the latest Qlikview and other BI technology and best practices - Effectively communicate with client teams and internal team *The following qualifications are a plus:* - Experience with QlikView , EDX for triggering, Governance dashboard, System Monitor dashboard, Analyzer dashboard and Profiler dashboard - Experience in performance tuning of QlikView server and publisher - Working knowledge of clustering and scaling QlikView servers in a VM environment - Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a cross functional team - Formal QlikView Server / Publisher certification is a plus - Experience with Printing Reports - Experience with Power Tools is a plus - Experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server Qualifications *Minimum Qualifications:* - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or similar experience - At least 5+ years QlikView experience including design, development, - At least 7+ years in SQL and MSBI including performance tuning, debugging complex stored procedures, Good experience with SQL Agent. - Working experience on Cognos, Cold Fusion and Hyperion -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "American Vendor--IT Consulting" group.
