This individual is responsible for the compilation of data from multiple internal and external sources into various reporting mediums such as reports, dashboards and scorecards for use by all levels of management. The candidate is responsible for designing Universe and building complex reports using *Business Objects Web Intelligence (WebI), Crystal Reports and SQL Server Reporting Services*. Data sources for reporting vary from 3rd normal form relational sources, or star schema dimensional data warehouse. This individual should have experience with data modeling concepts and proficient with *Business Objects XI 3.1* with sound understanding of complex and very large Universe design and maintenance. Experience with Linked Universes, ability to automate context detection as well as manual and aggregate navigation is a must. Candidate should have extensive experience in using *SQL, PL/SQL programming *with understanding of *RDBMS* concepts to create, modify, debug and test table, views, packages, stored procedures, functions, triggers, constraints, cursors, indexes etc. Experience working directly with business clients in a fast paced environment is highly preferred. The right candidates will be self-starters, focused on delivery and driven to add value. This individual must be comfortable working individually and as part of a team and will have the opportunity to do both as the need arises. Selected individuals will be part of a new team of developers responsible for clearing a rapidly growing queue of requests from the business. *Essential Functions:* • Design enterprise and departmental business intelligence, data warehousing and reporting solutions using *Business Objects Web Intelligence (WebI), Crystal Reports or SQL Server Reporting Services* from multiple data sources as needs arise. • Develop and maintain Business Objects Universes and reports while understanding business challenges and translating them into requirement/solutions. • Strong analytical ability to troubleshoot and reverse engineer reporting objects in Crystal Reports to various schemas; customize and modify existing Packages, Stored Procedures, Triggers, Views etc. and deliver accurate solution in timely manner • Ensure timely execution of standard reports (daily, weekly, monthly reporting). Troubleshoot and resolve reporting issues as needed. • Support end users with appropriate tools (Reporting, Ad-hoc query) for their analysis needs. • Provide training and support to users with ad-hoc analysis as needed. • Work with minimal supervision and be able to execute tasks on timely basis at high quality level. • Able to take direction from IT management and plan out and carry out needed tasks. • Work cooperatively with other IT specialists, developers, analysts, DBA’s, ETL specialists, end users, and other resources as required. • Identify and adopt “best practices” and other BI/BO development standards, along with documenting and communicating the standards to appropriate developers and users. • Perform as an individual contributor role, doing hands-on work to undertake the duties of the Business/Data Analysts at times. • Provide strategic technology direction while supporting the tactical needs of the business. • SSRS Report development against both cubes and SQL data warehouse data sources as need arises • Previous work experience with Allegro System is a plus. • Communication skills are critical as this position interacts closely with both business and developers while gathering requirements, designing, testing, implementing and supporting solutions. *Qualifications:* • 4-8 years of experience implementing and managing solutions using *Business Objects* • Thorough understanding of *BI/DW* concepts is required. • Highly proficient in both *PL/SQL* and *T-SQL* is required. • Understanding of both relational and dimensional data modeling is preferred. • Solutions oriented; learn quickly, understand complex problems, and apply useful solutions • Experience with both *Oracle (11g)* and *SQL Server (2008 R2, 2010)* is preferred • 2-4 years of experience implementing Microsoft Business Intelligence (BIDS) preferred • Experience with *Team Foundation Server (TFS)* or other source code control tools preferred • Familiarity with *ETL tools (Informatica, etc.)* and *ETL processes* is preferred. • Ability to work with business and technology users to define and gather reporting and analytics requirements. • Ability to work as a team player. • Strong communication and presentation skills. • Self-starter with the ability to work without daily supervision. • Skilled in multitasking and providing premium support to business users. • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills – experience in analyzing and understanding business/technology system architectures, databases, and client applications. • Experience in tuning report performance by optimizing metadata structures and/or working with *DW/ETL* team to modify data structures. • Oil and Gas industry experience preferred **** ** ** *Thanks & Regards* ** ** *Venkat* | Technical Recruiter**** MSR Cosmos | *Mail Id:* r...@msrcosmos.com**** *Mobile:* 925-218-0722 | *Fax:* 925-218-0934**** *Yim:* venkatram.kyadari | *Gtalk:* venkat558.recruiter**** *Website:* www.msrcosmos.com**** *P*Please consider the environment before printing this e-mail!**** ** ** -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "American Vendor--IT Consulting" group.
