*Job # 8172 Title: Sr. Business Analyst*

*Salary: $85,000*

*Location: Saint Charles, Missouri 63301LOCAL ONLY*

*Summary:*

Under general direction with minimal supervision, the Senior Business
Analyst will work with users to identify processes and define system
requirements. The Analyst will serve as team leader or a team member in
projects to select, install, configure, and implement third party software.
The Analyst may develop functional and technical system designs and
specifications using standard procedures and techniques to maintain/modify
existing applications or to devise new application programs of varying
complexity and scope. While performing all duties and responsibilities, the
Analyst will at all times, model LMI values and principles and act in a
manner consistent with the LMI Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.

*Essential Duties and Responsibilities:*

Essential Duties & Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may
be assigned:
* Identify and document user business processes using standard process
methodology.
o Learn how the software is used, including both formal and informal user
procedures.
o Become the expert in knowing how the software operates.
o Coordinate and conduct user training on software applications.
* Identify all aspects of the assigned problem and resolve.
o Gather detailed requirements and clarifications from system users.
o Evaluate user requirements in terms of the capabilities of available
software.
o Recommend and implement determined solution.
o Develop documentation which outlines the steps to be followed in solving
the problem.
o Prepare system specifications including input and output formats and
flowcharts.
o Test new software programs or changes to software programs, and
procedures.
* Coordinate with Programmers, Analysts, IT management, users and software
suppliers.
* Develop and execute project plans, either as the overall project leader
or in partnership with a leader from another business function.
* Manage integrated project teams and/or activities.
* Develop, debug and test software programs as needed.
* Occasionally provide off-hours on-call assistance to users.
* Attend and participate in departmental meetings.
* Participate in special projects or perform special tasks as identified by
management.

*Qualifications:*

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform

representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable

* Education/Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of experience in business
and systems analysis, four-year Degree in Business, Management, Information
Systems or Computer Science is preferred or the equivalent combination of
education, training and experience. Minimum of five (5) years of experience
in a project environment, with some experience in a leadership role. PMP
certification and/or formal project management training preferred.
Knowledge of and experience in designing and implementing systems in a
discrete manufacturing enterprise. Basic understanding of best practices in
manufacturing preferred.


* Specific Job Skills: Must be proficient in business process
documentation. Must understand basic relational database
concepts.Experience with project management practices and
methodologies.Experience with structured design methodologies and system
development life cycles. Knowledge of one or more current ERP systems –
eg., SAP or Oracle a plus. Knowledge of IBM OS 400 is a plus. Programming
experience in HTML, C#, Java or ASP is a plus.


* Behavior/Work Management Skills: Employee must have the ability to work
in a dynamic environment with multiple priorities and shifting time
requirements. Must be able to promote a participative, team oriented
environment, working with customers (both internal and external), all
employees, vendors and others in a professional and respectful manner.


* Communication Skills: Employee must have excellent communication skills
and be able to communicate clearly and professionally, both orally and in
writing.


* Language Skills: Employee must have the ability to write reports,
business correspondence, work instructions and procedure manuals. Ability
to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of
managers, customers, employees and vendors.

* Reasoning Ability: Employee must have the ability to define problems,
collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
