*Send resumes to* *sriniva...@ustechsolutionsinc.com* <sriniva...@ustechsolutionsinc.com> *Position: Storage Engineer* *Location: Saint Peters burg, FL* *Duration: Long term* The following is a summary of the skills required and the duties that the candidate will be expected to perform: • Research and development of storage solutions and architectures to meet Jabil’s variety of use cases in the most cost-effective, scalable and operationally efficient way. • Hands-on evaluation of technologies that we anticipate delivering value to Jabil. • Significant contribution to development of Jabil’s overall storage strategy and direction. • Provide guidance by identifying current or potential issues within the current storage platforms and driving/supporting resolution and best practices implementation. • Provide level-4 escalation support to our operational resources alongside technology vendors when required. • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to help develop less experienced engineers. • Ensure that all appropriate documentation is created or updated as needed. • Collaboration across technical teams IT Infrastructure services to deliver integrated solutions and designs to meet business requirements. • Liaise with and drive the activity of Jabil’s strategic technology partners to ensure delivery of products that meet our needs. • Proactively identifying opportunities that enable us to provide the best solutions to our businesses. • Significant real-life experience with emerging web-scale storage platforms, potentially gained from working with cloud hosting provider or similar. • Detailed knowledge of traditional shared storage technologies including SAN, NAS, Fibre-Channel, Object Storage and related technologies. • Solid understanding of core EMC, HP, and NetApp storage products. • Extensive knowledge and understanding of virtualization technologies. • Proven track record of taking responsibility for and delivering complex storage solutions to a demanding business. • Knowledge and understanding of Microsoft SQL and Oracle databases • Knowledge and understanding of Open Systems OS • Knowledge of WAN data replication techniques, logical disk, physical disk and enterprise backup topologies. • Strong understanding of storage architectural concepts and design patterns. • Strategic thinker with ability to develop and communicate technology roadmaps. • Analytical and problem solving skills. • Goal and delivery oriented. • Strong influencing skills. • Strong (internal) client facing skills. • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills. • The successful candidate is likely to possess a bachelor's degree level or greater. *Best Regards,* Srinivas Tel: (201) 524 9600 Ext 125 Email: sriniva...@ustechsolutionsinc.com Yahoo IM: srini_bsm -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "American Vendor--IT Consulting" group.
