Position: Android Mobile lead Developer Location: Auburn Hills, MI Length: 6-months Overview: Client is working with one of the top automobile OEMs and their connected vehicle technologies and related partners. This role would be working in a highly technical and fast paced environment, providing Quality Assurance expertise, testing cutting edge hardware, software, firmware and mobile implementations. We are looking for an Android Developer who possesses a passion for pushing mobile technologies to the limits and will work with our team of talented engineers to design and build the next generation of our mobile applications Skills & Experience: 1. Must have 3-5+ years of proven experience developing Android apps including: 2. Responsible for understanding Customer Functional Objectives, System Functional Specification Requirements and derive Use Cases, User Stories Backlog, Application Design, Code and Unit Test Cases. 3. Interact with Architects to design implementation of complete feature end to end from end customer interface to vehicle interaction. 4. Ensures the project is completed on time and meets all business and system requirements 5. Responsible for Developing, Testing, Releasing, and Maintaining native Java applications. 6. Own the Complete Android Development end to end, including the Code base, Integration and Defect tracking. 7. Communicates project status, progress on deliverables, and risks/issues to stakeholders and leadership in a timely manner 8. Must have 2+ yr of automotive domain understanding of Vehicle or Connected services. 9. Experience in end to end Telematics components, Infotainment applications, Head unit applications is a plus. 10. Must have experience in all variants of Android Platform, Android Wearable Platform etc. 11. Strong Experience in Java, JavaScript, JQuery, Embedded Programming, App development and Vehicle Software Development. 12. Experience in Design/Develop/Validation of mobile applications, web applications, and vehicle functionalities. 13. Should have Knowledge of Web services, REST APIs, JSON, XML. 14. Exposure to DOORs and Microsoft Office 15. Exposure to CAN, LIN, HTTP(s), MQTT, Cellular network etc. 16. Exposure to Head unit platforms like QNX. 17. Exposure to Agile Methodologies, Sprint, Scrum process. 18. Excellent team building, people and management skills. 19. Exceptional organization skills and attention to detail 20. Must be self-starter, proactive and willing to learn and grow with the business. 21. Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. 22. Must demonstrate a hands-on approach, attention to detail and results orientation.
