Direct Client Java Developer (MUST have some lead experience) Plano, TX 12 months Overview: In this role, you will be responsible for developing high level, detailed design for application components, for developing application code to implement business and technical requirements, for developing and executing unit test cases, for supporting the migration of code through various environments, and for supporting user testing. In addition, you will be responsible for performing configuration repository administration including software, streams & directories creation, and source code archiving and for managing the software product configuration including generation of product, component baselines, and tracking by developing and maintaining user software configuration management guides while providing support and training to enforce Software Configuration Management principles. Required Skills: • 3+ years of experience with Java The primary skill required is strong knowledge of Java/J2EE, JSP and Jboss. Strong JSP experience and best practices in writing JSP code is necessary. The ideal candidate will have experience working on projects using an agile methodology. The candidate must be able to lead small teams. The majority of this effort will be modernizing the existing JSP code and ensuring that it communicates with the new Java backend (currently PowerBuilder).
