Job Description: Sunone LDAP engineer. Assists with the development and
integration of Single Signon and Authentication Services leveraging both Sun
Directory Server and CA E-Trust software that support a diverse set of web
applications. Responsible for system quality assurance while working within
the guidelines of established security policy standards. Responsible for
infrastructure upgrades. May provide direction and guidance to less
experienced staff. Provide second level support for production problems
related to LDAP, siteminder, SAML, application problems, systems errors and
other support related issues. Assist with production application
migration/integration. Assist in resolution of audit related issues.
Researches and evaluates new web technologies, develops service
applications, and analyzes business requirements as they pertain to
web-based systems. 

Minimum skills -

A strong Sun Directory Server background, 

Siteminder, 

SAML Web technologies, 

good collaboration skills, 

Unix Administration, 

working knowledge of web servers (IIS, iPlanet/SunOne, and Apache), Perl,
general networking, general knowledge of firewalls, and web code development

Project Summary and Position Overview:

 
We are developing and supporting a set of existing financial software
applications and are in need of a Senior Project Manager to drive definition
and execution of the program and attendant projects which need to deliver on
a repeating basis 3 times per year.  The candidate will manage T1.com
(Thomson One) Investment Banking portion. Thy will be involved in the
repeated software releases and what makes up the solution. Candidate will
need to program manage as well as project manage. 
1. Ensure the successful delivery of multiple technical initiatives to build
functionality and features provided to Investment Bankers via a web
application.  Manage projects from current state (some already underway)
through deployment.   
2. Manage all project activities and deliverables to agreed quality and time
specifications.
3. Manage stakeholders and communicate project status, milestones and
dependencies to a large audience of stakeholders.
4. Coordinate project activities across multiple development, product
management, user experience and QA, teams in a complex matrixed
organization.
 
Day to Day Responsibilities: 

. Define, document and execute the project, actively participating in all
relevant phases of the project. 
. Actively engage with several global development and product groups to
create, ensure synchronization and awareness of all plans.
. Create project plans and schedules and track progress against plans.
Establish project milestones that reflect realization of agreed business
benefits within timeframe and budget. Identify and track milestones,
deliverables, risks, issues, changes and dependencies within the schedule. 
. Responsible for project risk management.  Identify, assess, manage and
minimize project risks to successful project completion.
. Responsible for project change control.  Ensure the appropriate solution
or budget is presented so that projected business benefits are realised.
Ensure revisions to the project are agreed from stakeholders and full impact
of changes is understood by stakeholders.
. Work with stakeholder(s) to ensure successful completion of all project
deliverables.  Ensure all groups are aware of project scope, their
responsibility for delivering projects and milestones.  Ensure the right
resources are available at the right time with the right skills.
. Monitor and report status from each deliverable group to all relevant
parties. Highlight divergence from scope and adjust where necessary.  Gain
commitments to ensure corrective actions are taken if costs, timescales or
resources deviate from agreed tolerances.
. Participate in project estimations when requested to provide costs,
timescales and resource requirements for the successful completion of each
project to be estimated.
. Ensure compliance with Thomson Reuters Project Process.  Maintain project
library including all key project documentation.
. Contribute to the ongoing development of project process, tools and
techniques such that they develop in line with company organisational,
technical and commercial requirements.
. Perform other assignments as requested by manager.
 
Education:
 
Bachelor's degree pref in Engineering
 
Required skills:

. 8+ years in a similar position/environment
. Must be capable of managing multiple project streams simultaneously in a
dynamic environment.
. Excellent leadership and team building skills.  
. Knowledge of investment banking. 
. Proven implementation skills.
. Very strong interpersonal skills particularly motivational, negotiation,
listening, judgement, analytic ability, and conflict management skills.
. Excellent organization, verbal and written communication skills to explain
project goals and inspire support.  Strong presentation skills.
. Extensive use of Microsoft office and project planning tools. Experience
with Iterative and/or Agile process but flexible as TR does not use just one
process. 
. Hands on tech project management - experience with SDLC and more mature
software projects with repeated releases. Dev managers (those with a Dev
background) are discouraged. Should be more people focused then technical.

. PMP Certification
. Sharepoint knowledge 
. Experience with building project wiki's (new project themes)
