*Business Analyst*
The Business Analyst will work under the functional supervision of a
Project Manager.
Business Analyst Activities:
• Responsible for analysis of and documenting business requirements,
collaborating with subject matter experts and technology partners to
establish technical vision; develop comprehensive user acceptance test
scripts as well as potential facilitation and/or execution of user
acceptance testing and the strategic testing plan; develop and implement
communication, deployment and decommission plans. The resource needs to be
able to elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis,
requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process
descriptions, uses cases, business analysis, task and workflow analysis.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to
interact professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers,
subject matter experts, and technology partners are required.
*Qualification Requirements:*
• Experience Level: 3-5 years of experience
• Knowledge of the complete SDLC
• Strong communication skills are a must (oral and written)
• Ability to work as part of a team, maintain a good work ethic, be a
self-starter
• Ability to learn the functional aspects of new technology
• Possess strong negotiating and conflict resolution skills. Business
Analyst must have the ability to work with others outside of their direct
control to ensure projects are completed.
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills across all
layers of management
• Ability to meet deadlines and possess a passion and desire to succeed
• Ability to understand priorities and focus on appropriate roadblocks that
hinder the project's goals
• Possess strong problem solving skills including problem definition,
alternatives identification and analysis, and decision making
• Effectively collaborate with other project team members, sponsors, and
stakeholders
• Ability to gain stakeholder trust and align with organizational strategy
and broader organizational goals
• Act as an internal advocate for the project by taking ownership, showing
commitment, and illustrating accountability
• Commitment to overall customer satisfaction
• Identify creative ways to reduce cost by streamlining processes and
systems (i.e. elimination of non-value added processes and requirements, or
complete re-engineering of processes and systems)
• Commitment to following our client’s Project Management Methodology,
reporting, and templates
• Strong analytical skills required, including a thorough understanding of
how to interpret business needs and translate them into application and
operational requirements leveraging expertise on how to function in
ambiguous situations in order to provide clarity and recommendations for
solutions. Ability to work independently with minimal oversight to
accomplish project objectives and issue resolution through experience in
conducting detailed analysis with knowledge from various different
financial business and operations areas, application wide analysis and
proposal of solutions.
• Knowledge in SDLC process and project management; experience in agile and
waterfall development; and strong foundation of MS Office products are
essential to be successful in this role. Experience with HP Quality Center
could be an additional benefit.
