*Technical Project Manager / SLDC* *Rate: $/hr* *Location: Washington DC* *Duration: 6 months* Responsible for overall coordination, status reporting and stability of project oriented work efforts. Establishes and implements project management processes and methodologies for the IT community to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high quality standards and meet customer expectations. Responsible for assembling project plans and teamwork assignments, directing and monitoring work efforts on a daily basis, identifying resource needs, performing quality review; and escalating functional, quality, timeline issues appropriately. Responsible for tracking key project milestones and adjusting project plans and/or resources to meet the needs of customers. Coordinates communication with all areas of the enterprise that impacts the scope, budget, risk, and resources of the work effort being managed. Summary: Manage a large project or phases of a highly complex project within Information Technology. May manage multiple projects simultaneously. Responsible for all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned projects. Responsibilities: Define project scope and objectives. Responsible for taking project from original concept through final implementation. Assemble project teams, assign individual responsibilities, develop project schedules and determine and acquire resources needed. Develop estimates and ensure project conforms to organization's objectives, milestones, and budget. Prepare and review project status reports. Manage internal relationships for a team of consultants, developers, engineers, analysts, and related professionals. Manage external vendor selection and relationships. Education: 4-year college degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business Administration or related discipline Other Skills: 7 - 10 years of project management experience, including 5 - 7 years supervisory experience. Extensive experience working with IT systems would be extremely important, as the position leads initiatives related to a comprehensive portfolio of IT applications, which include regulated and medical device applications.
