*Position Summary:  *

This position is a key contributor to the daily accounting and systems
operations of the company. This position will provide a broad range of
technical accounting and system support to the Martin-Brower global finance
team and will work closely with the IT function. This position is
responsible for maintaining and enhancing financial aspects of JD Edwards
ERP system. The Business Analyst, Finance acts in a support role analyzing
specific and complex business problems within the JD Edwards ERP
application.



*People or Process Management Responsibility: *

Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work and general
instructions on new assignments.



*Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:*

•             Support primary-use applications and functional areas within
financial applications in JDEdwards in a global environment. (General
Ledger, Fixed Assets, AP, AR, Inventory)

•             Act as Subject Matter Expert in business functions
supporting: Finance, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable, Central
Data Management* including tasks such as:*

o             Manage Financial Administration (period close, business units
& chart of accounts)

o             Maintain automatic accounting instructions (DM AAIs and AAIs)
as needed in daily business operations.

o             Familiarity with Flex Accounting rules

o             Review daily financial & inventory integrity reporting and
analyze, research, and correct any errors.

•             Manage issues resolution with appropriate levels of urgency
with customers, helpdesk personnel and information technology groups using
solid negotiation and conflict management skills, escalating to management
and senior leadership appropriately.

•             Demonstrate self-confidence while showing respect and support
to others.

•             Participate in cross-functional problem solving teams

•             Independently develop and nurture strong and appropriate
relationships with business and technical partners as well as customers in
order to advance system efficiency and overall IT perception and support.

•             Other duties as assigned.



*Required Skills and Experience:*

•             Four-year Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting or Finance.

•             2-5 years’ experience in a business analysis role, in a
multi-location organization in a 24x7 environment (preferably in a
Distribution environment).

•             Thorough knowledge and understanding of JDEdwards ERP System

•             Working knowledge of finance business processes.

•             Must possess strong organizational and time management skills

•             Must possess strong oral and written communication skills

•             Advanced user of Microsoft Office products.

•             Strong analytical and data management skills with the ability
to focus on the details

•             Must be detail oriented, highly accurate, conscientious and
creative

•             Ability to learn and apply new technical concepts

•             Ability to understand, develop and refine processes

•             Must possess a professional demeanor

•             Knowledge of accounting and finance concepts and reporting
