Java Developer(8+) Pittsburgh, PA 6+ months Phone Hire *Need GC/USC/EAD GC* “we need more than 5 year experience, strong Java knowledge including major frameworks (eq: Spring) and if possible an experience on DAM application (most likely OpenText).” *Job Description:* This position will work within the DTD (Digital Technology and Delivery) group to develop and implement the future unified Corporate Document Asset Management system (DAM). Candidate must be able to translate business needs into effective technical solutions by using Java EE and DAM technologies like Alfresco or OpenText solutions . Candidate will be responsible for the implementation and maintenance of DAM and services that support the related company’s E-Commerce business initiatives. Work independently or be part of a team that builds and integrates interactive web sites, applications, and services for both internal and external customers. Must have an in-depth understanding of the software development lifecycle and be able to communicate project status, issues, and resolutions. This position offers a challenging career to work on systems that interface with multiple systems including Content Management systems, Search Engine Technologies, Product Information Management and Legacy DAM Systems. Job Functions • Work closely with development managers, architects, business analysts to architect design, develop, unit test, debug and maintain web applications based on functional requirements and scope of work. • Contribute and confirm to DTD adopted software development standards. • Focus on quality and continuous improvement to technology and process. • Participate in production deployment and provide assistance to production support group as needed. *Minimum Requirements/Qualifications: * • Bachelor degree in Computer Science or equivalent. • 6-10 years experience in design and development eBusiness applications using Java technologies. • Must have good Java and J2EE expertise, must know J2EE Best Practices and be up to date on the latest J2EE and related specifications. • • Hands on work experience with Alfresco, Opentext or any top Dam would be a big plus. • Experience designing solutions using J2EE, in-depth working knowledge of various design patterns and best practices is needed. • Be a hands-on expert in Spring, JMS, JSP, Struts and RDBMS (Oracle/SQL Server/mySql) technologies; • Must have Strong experience in popular java application containers (Jboss, IBM WebSphere, Tomcat, etc..). • Must have a good knowledge about Unix/Linux systems and networking. • Must have Strong knowledge/experience in Version control tools (Git as a must have, Perforce as a plus). • Must have experience in continuous integration environment (Jenkins, ANT/Maven). • Must have experience in Agile methodologies (Jira & confluence experience as a plus). • Must have experience leading and mentoring junior team members. • Be performance driven, self starter and work effectively on multiple projects simultaneously. • Should be an excellent team player with strong verbal & written communication skills and be able to effectively communicate with all levels of personnel, internal and external to the company. • Be highly motivated to research, adopt new technologies and challenges. • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with a solid understanding of diverse environments and components. • Hands on work experience with Alfresco, Opentext or any top Dam would be a big plus.
