*Position: Business Intelligence Engineer*

Must have min 5yrs of US Exp
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Typical candidates will possess at least 6+ years of relevant
experience and a BA/BS degree
- Detailed understanding of generally accepted business intelligence
methodologies, tools, and techniques
- Must have experience in one or more of the following: SQL Server
Development (SSIS preferred), Data Warehouse lifecycle including data
analysis, data modeling and design using dimensional modeling approach
- Experience supporting, troubleshooting, and enhancing data warehouse
environments to reinforce processes, meet SLAs, and automate manual task
- Comprehensive knowledge of a specific *COMPANY* business function and
how platforms and products will be used by business partners (not required
for new hires—acquired knowledge)
- Prefer a working knowledge of the financial services industry and
Microsoft .net or Office and experience with reporting and/or ETL tools
- SQL Server MCDBA certification or SQL Server experience desirable.
*Requirements*:
ABOUT THE POSITION: The data job family is comprised of the Database
Administration and Business Intelligence groups. The group is responsible
for ensuring the availability, access, security, and integrity of
organizational data, including *COMPANY*’s core business data, as well as
critical functional data (Finance, HR, etc.). In addition to maintaining
data for the organization, this group partners closely with key leaders and
data users in the lines of business to organize and report on data in a way
that facilitate business decision-making. The position is located in
Chicago.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: • Communicate with business users to
solve problems and ensure requirements are met • Build and design Extract,
Transformation and Load (ETL) processes, procedures and code • Transforms
or translates complex business trends into analytic and reporting
requirements • Develop custom business reports • Build and design data
access objects (stored procedures, universes, SQL statements) for reporting
• Design significant enhancements to the established data warehouse
environments • Build moderate to complex query capabilities, compiling data
from multiple sources or formats • Build tests for data integrity to ensure
intelligence is consistent with business needs • Build complex business
intelligence tools, databases, methods or systems for process and data
validation
