*Job Title:** LTE Test Engineer*

*Location:** Palo Alto, CA.*

*Note:*

Client is looking for someone experience in testing Networks, switches,
etc. and also worked on VMWare products, virtualization.

Must have Perl and Python experience. Technically a Network Tester who also
involved in Network/Systems Administration is an ideal profile for below
requirement. Scripting and virtualization is important along with good
experience in Linux, Windows Server and VMWare.



*Responsibilities:*

·         Clear verbal and written communication

·         Be a strong advocate of software quality - Find the hard bugs

·         Understand customer needs and environments

·         Write complex and innovative test cases

·         Build complex testing environments from scratch

·         Automation to build testbeds, and execute system test cases

·         Track test deliverable to product release schedule

·         Lead the validation effort of major product features

·         Communicate with all stakeholders and team members and provide
updates perform other duties and responsibilities as requested or required



*Requirements:*

·         At least 5 plus years of experience in software development and
quality engineering

·         2+ years of Python or equivalent with knowledge of object
oriented programming

·         Software/Hardware system administration experience

·         Virtualization experience -
Installation/Configuration/Administration (KVM and ESX a plus)

·         Operating Systems: Deep Linux knowledge -
Installation/Configuration/Administration (RHEL and Ubuntu a plus), Windows
Server, Windows 7

·         Strong understanding of L2 and L3 networks, VLANs

·         Networking troubleshooting / debugging - e.g. tcpdump, wireshark,
traceroute, route, netstat

·         Network protocols:  TCP, UDP, ARP, DHCP, ICMP, IPv4/IPv6

·         Self sufficient, but knows when to ask for help

·         Knowledge of cloud architecture - vCD or Openstack a plus

·         SCM: git, gerrit, Perforce, SVN

·         Databases: MySQL or similar

·         Bug tracking: bugzilla, redmine
