Rate: 50$/hr *Look for locals or near by area* * * *Duration*: 6+ Months *Location*: Brookfield, WI / White Plains, NY Start Date: ASAP Open to H1 *Role:* The Business Intelligence (BI) Business Analyst is responsible for defining requirements to support Dashboard and BI solution. With a strong subject matter expertise in BI, the Business Analyst collaborates with the business teams to extrapolate data requirements from broad-based information needs and define functional requirements with audiences that have limited exposure to BI capability. The Analyst is an expert in understanding the need for business information and how to apply BI to support business and/or project objectives. Previous experience with BI tools such as *Business Objects – Dashboard Manager, XCelsius, WebI strongly preferred*** *Essential Duties*: § Work closely with all levels of business audiences having complex operational reporting, financial reporting, and analytic needs to clearly define Dashboard/BI requirements in support of strategic and tactical decision making. This encompasses the entire BI stack from dashboards, scorecards, ad-hoc analysis and planning. § Decompose broad business information needs into well-defined data requirements including business facts/measures, dimensions, reference data, business data definitions; create critical documentation to communicate data requirements such as fact-qualifier matrices § Work with EDW Data Architect and business partners to validate rules regarding data integrity and data quality as it relates to the impact on business requirements § Define and document the use of BI through user experience/use cases and detailed functional requirements for all levels of user audience/knowledge workers including business executives, business management, and administrative staff § Work with development team to create prototypes using BI tools to help end users understand and exploit BI capabilities and confirm the project requirements § Collaborate with process analysts to integrate BI and reporting solutions with process improvement initiatives and operational applications for end-to-end business solutions § Assist quality assurance with the creation of test cases to validate the integrity of both the data and functional requirements § Participate in identifying training requirements for the creation of end user support materials related to assigned projects and initiatives § Assist business users with requests for ad-hoc reporting and data analysis *Major Qualifications*: § Min. five years of experience in gathering business intelligence and data/data warehouse requirements working directly with the end user community on two or more large projects § Experience defining requirements for metrics/scorecards, dashboards, OLAP analysis, ad-hoc, and structured reports for business audiences that have limited exposure to BI capabilities § Detailed knowledge of concepts and principles within the business intelligence and data warehouse environment with the ability to clearly demonstrate alignment of BI capability to business improvement § Ability to facilitate design sessions including developing presentation material, structuring conversation, and documenting outcomes § Knowledge and understanding of relational and dimensional data models, demonstrating the ability to read and interpret a business data model § Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to lead a diverse audience through presentations § Strong analytic and problem solving skills; strong collaborative skills § Experience with and demonstrated understanding of SDLC § Previous experience with BI tools such as Business Objects – Dashboard Manager, XCelsius, WebI strongly preferred § Working knowledge of Healthcare industry is highly preferred -- Thanks & Regards, Abhi a...@cigniti.com -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "SAP Workflow" group.
