*Summary: *

The role involves building a set of core services forming the foundation of
next-generation systems. These services will control and manage the
acquisition and distribution of specific sets of data used throughout the
firm. Due to the critical nature of these services, we are after developers
with a proven track record of building highly resilient software that is
scalable and maintainable.



*Job Responsibilities: *

• Design, build, test and maintain application code.

• Identify issues uncovered by testing or consumer feedback and correct
issues.

• Evaluate code to ensure it is valid, meets client standards and is
compatible with our operating model.



*Skills: *

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem solving
skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage one’s time.

• Advanced knowledge of the Java programming language and commonly-used
libraries (JDK 1.7+, JDBC, Spring Framework, Google Guava, Apache Avro,
etc…).

• Advanced knowledge of HTTP / REST.

• Advanced knowledge of SQL

• Experience with message-oriented middleware a plus (MQ and pub/sub)



*Education/Experience: *

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent training required.

• 5+ years’ experience required.
