Position: DBA Architect Location – Pittsburgh Duration – 1 – 3 years. Skills: 1) Analytical skills 2) Data Model Designing skills 3) Oracle experience 4) Best Practices in Oracle or MSSQL 5) Performance Tuning 6) Troubleshooting 7) Completeness of work a. Ability to see larger picture, provide an end to end solution and take a task to its completion 8) Ownership of work, quality 9) Team work 10)Flexibility – flexibility in jumping from one task to another, working long hours if needed, doing whatever it takes to make project successful. Perhaps you can find a DBA with some architect skills and very good communication. The upside is advanced growth into a full blown Architect role. Also it’s a long term position.
