Mike’s team supports Investment Management – they have a portfolio of applications (front-office, accounting, trading, etc.), which all integrate with the data warehouse. Data feeds into and out of these systems and this person will be primarily responsible for the extract, transform, & load of data from the Oracle backend. They do not have a designated ETL development tool yet, however they are looking to go with either Informatica or ODI (Oracle Data Integrator). Ideally he is looking for someone with at least one specific ETL Development tool – he believes he can train the resource once they decide on one. In addition to complex hands on Oracle / ETL development, they also need to have strong hands on experience with Unix and Shell scripting. All of the applications are running on Unix platforms, so the developer must be able to deploy and integrate the back end of the systems with Unix.
