Candidate must be an expert with load balancing/ F5 Networks The Sr. Network Engineer is responsible for the design of Network systems, assisting with the implementation of those systems, and for ensuring monitoring and ongoing maintenance of the network is properly documented. The Network Engineer also provides tier-4 technical support and consultation in support of 24x7 network operations and collaboration with internal teams, customers and vendors on project deliverables and new technology implementation. The Sr. Network Engineer will apply company policies and procedures to resolve routine issues and will work on problems of complexity where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. They will exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action as well as recommend and document best practice guidelines for future leverage. The Sr. Network Engineer will mentor less experienced Network Engineers to assist them in increasing their network related skills. They will also provide project participation on selected projects and work with external vendors and internally with other teams in Engineering and Operations and different Business Units. This network infrastructure includes Layer 3 switches, traditional routers, content switching equipment, and network security devices such as IDS and firewall equipment. A successful candidate has knowledge and skills necessary to select, connect, configure, and troubleshoot various networking devices. This would include the following capabilities: Extending Switched Networks with VLANS, IP Routing, Managing IP traffic with Access Lists, and establishing Point-to-Point connections. The successful candidate should also have the ability to configure and manage fundamental implementations of Juniper Firewall products, Cisco Nexus products, SourceFire IPS products and be familiar with F5 Load Balancers; including GTM, LTM and ASM. In addition to these essential skills, the candidate must also have the ability to work with network monitoring systems to ensure optimal network availability, scalability and security.
