Maximo Business Analyst Boston , MA Contract position 6 months+ Phone Hire The purpose of this position is to work closely with business users across the city departments to develop and document business processes and system requirements, then configure and test systems to ensure the system meets the requirements and enables the business process. The role also includes developing and delivering training materials and providing ongoing support to the business users. Additionally, the analyst will develop appropriate management reporting and audit reporting to monitor the effectiveness of the system and the accuracy of the data quality across business units. This position will work with the Enterprise Application Division which directly and indirectly supports application development and operations primarily but not exclusively on: EAM (IBM Maximo), SQL Reporting (Visual Studio), GIS and Mobile. *Responsibilities include: * Configures MAXIMO environment as additional sites are added or user requirements change to meet work management, asset management, inventory management and associated reporting requirements. Maintains the interface of MAXIMO to PeopleSoft and Lagan CRM. Monitors the health of the Maximo environment using SiteScope and other tools as necessary. Designs customer and reports from MAXIMO BIRT, or SAP or Tableau as required Populates MAXIMO facilities, equipment, PM databases, and inventory databases Ensures effective use of mobile technology Trains personnel on use of MAXIMO and mobile usage *Minimum Entrance Qualifications:* Applicant must possess 5 years of full time, or equivalent part time, professional experience in a position related to the utilization and configuration of IBM Maximo, database and mobile technology. Strong candidates will be able to work independently with little direct oversight and will have a good understanding of database concepts and how applications tie into the databases. Candidates will need to have a clear understanding of the technical relationships of a variety of database various products. Applicant must have strong communications skills and have demonstrated an ability to work effectively in a team environment. A bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, decision analysis, facilities management, or computer science is highly desired. Master's degree preferred or can be substituted by 1 year of full time work experience in a related field. Other majors considered on a case by case basis. Experience in the public sector (especially in a city or local government) is highly desirable. 4-7 years of work experience, preferably relevant to Maximo or other asset management products. The resource should have been part of at least 1 implementation lifecycle of Maximo (preferably 2, should be familiar with Maximo 7.1 Should have knowledge of the table structures and reporting mechanism. Should have knowledge of the APIs and CronTasks. Experience on Maximo integration with other tools is important. Should have experience with WebLogic. The ability to integrate business requirements with currently system functionality and enhancements that would be required to meet the requirements. The resource should be able to work with the business to confirm the requirements and should be able to work on the functional design aspects along with working on with the technical teams to explain what needs to be done. Java / PL SQL skills would be the technical aspects.
